JP Morgan Chase Vice President John Scott McCoy, Jr.

A seasoned financial markets professional, John Scott McCoy, Jr., joined JP Morgan Chase & Co as Vice President in Basel Measurement and Analytics (BM&A) in 2023. Accomplished manager and analytics leader within the firm's Treasury/Chief Investment Office (T/CIO) division, he performs extensive consumer risk analysis and synthesizes macroeconomic commentary for the company’s retail credit portfolio with an emphasis on home loan and consumer credit products. In addition to consumer credit and market insights, he provides senior management with regulator and investor communications support ahead of quarterly earnings results. John Scott McCoy, Jr., also serves as team lead for data visualization and regulatory reporting integration for key initiatives, among other responsibilities.

Before joining JP Morgan Chase, John McCoy spent nearly a decade in several roles at Morgan Stanley, including associate vice president and financial advisor for the Tribeca Group, an advisory team overseeing $4.2 billion in assets under management. During his time at Morgan Stanley, he earned Pacesetters Club honors in 2019, 2020, and 2021, recognizing his revenue and assets under management. Throughout his career, he has balanced professional achievement with volunteer work in the local community and Catholic Charities of America as well as especially active outdoors lifestyle in biking and downhill skiing.

John McCoy studied economics at Colgate University. He continued his education at New York University Stern School of Business, earning a master of business administration with specializations in finance, strategy, and real estate. His professional accolades have included numerous securities licenses and financial industry charterholder designations, including Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, and Financial Risk Manager certifications.
